Rolling shop

The shop manufactures iron sections with the circular, square and strip cross-section for subsequent hot or cold treatment. Bars are mainly manufactured from structural alloyed and carbon steel grades.

The following equipment is installed in the shop:

• a blooming and blanking mill 900/680;
• a medium-section mill 350;
• adjustage including equipment for acceptance, stockpiling and shipping of finished rolled products.

All operations on mills are mechanized. A possibility of fast mill setup allows to manufacture rolled products by low-tonnage lots.

A three-cage calibrating unit has been installed in the mill 350 line, which allows to perform hot-calibrated rolled products with increased accuracy and tolerance margin being by 3-4 times as less as with hot-rolled products.

Round steel bars can additionally be treated on the needle-milling machine in order to remove scale and obtain a quality light surface. Brightened hot-calibrated bars are not inferior to cold-drawn products by many characteristics and can be used for treatment on automatic machines. It is possible to manufacture iron sections with the required hardness due to conduction of a high-temperature tempering in thermal furnaces.
